Excel Accounts has full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance to the level prescribed for BAS Agents by the Tax Practitioners' Board.  We have no problem guaranteeing our work, as our clients' satisfaction is paramount to us.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Customers should be sure that the bookkeeper they engage is registered by the Tax Practitioners' Board as a BAS Service Provider.  By law, your bookkeeper must be registered in order to provide BAS Services such as coding transactions, processing payroll or preparing activity statements.  I would also suggest confirming that the bookkeeper holds insurance to the level prescribed by the Tax Practitioners' Board, holds some professional membership/s and has substantial experience using your chosen accounting software.

We hold full BAS Agent Registration with the Tax Practitioners Board (a recent ATO requirement) and Excel Accounts is a Professional Partner of both MYOB and Xero accounting programs as well as a member of the Australian Bookkeepers Network and a licensee of the Pure Bookkeeping System.    We differ from a lot of local Brisbane bookkeepers. Not only can we assist with your general bookkeeping, but what we really love doing is driving our clients' profits by creating budgets, benchmark reports and financial statements, and then analysing that data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. We've done our research and our pricing comes in at just below the Brisbane average.  However, the services we offer extend far beyond those of our competitors.  Sure, we can do basic bookkeeping such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll and BAS.  But what we really excel at is preparing budgets, benchmark reports and financial reports, and then analysing the data to identify growth and improvement opportunities for our clients.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We generally charge an hourly rate which can vary depending on the type of work, and whether the job needs to be done on or offsite.  We always offer a free, no-obligation consultation, and during this meeting we are happy to negotiate a price to suit your budget.
