Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we are fully insured for Public Liability, Goods in Transit and Vehicle Cover.   Whilst we are fully insured, please note this cover does not automatically extend to your belongings and we highly recommend organising your own contents insurance. If you already have home and contents insurance, it may cover for transit and accidental insurance. Alternatively, you can get a one-off accidental cover with Furniture Removals Insurance.

Our favourite thing about this job is that we do not just move furniture, we move PEOPLE. Every move comes with a story... some happy, some sad - each one unique in their own way.  Knowing that we are helping people start a new chapter of their life is an amazing feeling.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

• where are you moving from and to (suburbs) • date of your move (even if it's approximate) • size of your move (2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms,...)   And that's all!  The nitty-gritty part like individual items, inventory, access, etc. can be discussed at a later date.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Are you on a budget and need moving? Say no more, these are our 3 top tips!   1. BE PACKED AND READY - Pack everything in the boxes, unplug the fridge, basically try to be as organised as possible on the day of your move. This way when the truck comes, all the Movers have to do is load everything in the truck.   2. DON'T PAY FOR BOXES - If you jump on Facebook Marketplace, there are people offering moving boxes completely for free! If you can't find any, grab some from Bunnings or contact us - we might be able to give you a special discount! ;)  3. BIG MOVE? REQUEST A 3rd REMOVALIST - Trust us, this is an investment that pays off. If you have a big house with lots of belongings, paying extra for a 3rd Removalist will save you a lot of time - therefore a lot of money!

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

For a local move we charge per hour + call out fee (which covers the travel to and from our depot located in Salisbury).   For interstate or long-distance moves we charge a fixed price.
