Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes we are fully insured. To complete some of the larger projects we increased our cover to $10 Million Public Liability. Be we also guarantee all our work, we take pride in our work and when providing products only use quality.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I decided to complete an electrical apprenticeship when I left school and had an interest in electronics. After completing my apprenticeship I continued my studies and recently completed a Dynalite programmers course allowing people to integrate their lights, remote controls, A/C units all into an easy to use system.

A customer rang me and arranged to get a quote for a ducted air conditioning system. We agreed on the price, the parts, and a date and time. On the day when I was about to climb in the roof he stopped me and said "Oh, I forgot to tell you I have bats up there." As you can imagine I was a little surprise. Until he saw the worried look on my face and said "Ceiling Insulation Bats"

Q: How many LED downlights do I need in a lounge room? A: Depends on the type of atmosphere you want and the type of fitting being used. Is the light powerful (>1000 lumens), is it directional, etc. Lighting in a room creates mood. Getting it right is a skill we have perfected.

We can't compare ourselves to other tradespeople on the site as we don't know them. We have built most of our business from word of mouth. Being a reliable and trustworthy company keeps us in business.

Honesty. We think that there are many providers that will provide a "cheaper" service in all aspects of the word. Honesty is something that makes you "the customer" comfortable knowing that your purchasing the right parts, at a reasonable price and getting them installed professionally.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

*Be honest with what you are trying to achieve or what budget you are trying to work to. We want to work with you. *If the area you need the work done in is messy it takes us longer. If you prepare the area prior to our arrival we are quicker (saves you $$) and it makes it easier for us to clean up after ourselves. *Let us provide the parts for you. Most people assume we charge massive mark ups on parts. Realistically we might make 10%. However we also buy it for 20-30% cheaper than you do. It will still save you money.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Our pricing is competitive because we get the job done properly the first time with quality materials. Cheap quotes are not always competitive if the installation is done poorly or with inferior quality materials. We offer value for money and that is what makes us competitive.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

We don't charge a call out fee for business hour call outs unless agreed otherwise.  We do provide obligation free quotes. We normally prefer to quote on a job after inspecting it, 90% of clients will ask us to proceed straight away if it practical to do so. If not it has not cost them anything.

We specialise in Electrical fault finding, New installation, Air Conditioning (both Split Units, and Ducted),Security Installations (CCTV & Alarm), and Data installations.

ACM Electrical & Data's owner (Adam) has more than 10 years in the industry within a variety of roles. All of our employees are licenced tradesmen, either in the Air Conditioning/Refrigeration and/or Electrical industry. With ongoing professional development ACM has the skills!
