1) Type of entity (i.e., individual, company, partnership, trust) 2) Detail of the work that is required to be carried out (i.e., income tax return, financial reports, business activity statements, advice) 3) Detail of the activity that the entity is involved in (i.e., sources of income for the entity, what investments does the entity have, type of business being carried on by the entity)  4) Are there all source documents on hand that will be required?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

FIRSTLY, ensure that all your paperwork is in order and readily available for inspection at any given moment, not just for our practice, (but also for the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation if you're contacted to provide clarification or substantiation) - this includes bank statements, receipts, diary's).  SECONDLY, ensure that any transaction which may be ambiguous or obscure are clearly identified/narrated and brought to our attention to ensure that such transactions may be correctly addressed; THIRDLY have copies of prior year income tax returns handy for any comparative information which may be required (such as brought forward depreciation, balance sheets, profit & loss, bank reconciliations, schedules and workings, etc).

To our Oneflare Small Business customers, we offer a discounted rate to that of our regular service fees. The fee that we quote to these Oneflare Small Business customers will have already factored in the discounted rate.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

It will depend on the entity type as to how services are normally charged.  All fees for services rendered are due upon completion.  For individuals, payment is to be made upon completion & invoice raised. We operate a Trust Account and can facilitate a "fee from refund" transaction for those individual clients who are in an Income Tax Refund position.  For entity's that have on-going reporting requirements (such as Quarterly Business Activity Statements), invoices are raised upon completion of the Activity Statement.  Where a set annual fee has been agreed upon and the entity is involved in on-going reporting requirements, the annual fee is divided by the number of times that reports are to be prepared and an invoice is raised upon completion & lodgement.   For set annual fee clients, services required for the attendance to any matters that may be outside the regular scope of work may be billed separately at an hourly rate..
