The Director of Are Your Accounts Ledgerble saw a great need for Bookkeepers with skill & knowledge, especially when GST was introduced. So, whilst already working as a Bookkeeper for many years, Rochelle decided to further expand her knowledge & skill set to assist other businesses understand the GST impact as well!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We have a client who has now been with us for 3 years but when he first visited us, he was looking for someone to deal with his paperwork from the previous 3 years. The ATO were hounding him to lodge his Business Activity Statements and Tax Returns from this period. We were given many a box of paperwork to sort, process & assemble into a final set of Financial Reports for each of the 3 years. Whilst this was a cumbersome task, we thrive on a challenge. The end result was well & truly appreciated by the client & he has continued to use our services since.

Some tips on "How a prospective client can be ready before they visit with a Bookkeeper?" are: 1. Have all Bank Statements available, either printed or available online. 2. Have as much detail as possible available on all cheque butts or deposits made. 3. To save money, it is easier if all paperwork has been sorted into it's relevant financial year & filed in folders labelled with the same. 4. Do make sure you discuss all relevant information on the business with your Bookkeeper as it only extends the work time if there are further queries after the initial consultation.
