Yes, I have public liability insurance. My trailer is also fully insured. Yes I do guarantee my work and if the customer is not happy, then it will be rectified to the best of my ability so as to reach a happy outcome.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always wanted to work with dogs, so when I was made redundant after 20 years with the same company, I decided I was over working in an office and for someone else. So I decided to buy a dog grooming Franchise so I could finally start doing what I love, working with dogs.

What do you like most about your job?

I love meeting all the dogs and their owners, the variety of personalities is great. I also love seeing the relief on the little furry faces after they have had a clip, they are so happy and always ready to show off their new look.

I love dogs & I will treat yours as if it was my own. I try to make the grooming fun and relaxing for the dog, so if it's showing signs of discomfort I work with the dog to find a way that is more comfortable for them.

I need to know what type of dog the customer has and what grooming service they are looking for. Do they just want the dog to have a bath or is it a dog that needs to be clipped & is it a full clip or just a tidy up. Also how many dogs are there to be groomed.

I pride myself on the service I provide & the quality of the job I do. Your dog is groomed from nose to tail for one price, there are no added extra charges for nails or brushing. This is standard and included.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

My charges depend on the type of service required. Whether it is a hydro bath, full body clip or just a hygiene clip. Price also depends on the size of the dog. Toy, Small, Med or Large. Double coated dogs will attract an extra charge due to their coat type.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I have a lot of small dogs like Maltese/Shih Tzu & poodles on my client list, so I like to transform them and enjoy seeing them before and after their clip.
