Frequently asked questions

  • Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

The universe has wonderful ways of aligning our lives to follow the path we were destined for. There’s something about recurring numbers that is quite significant for ones journey through life. Matt was born the 9th day, 9th month in the year 1990 at 9.43 weighing 9 pound 1 ounce Matt was destined for greatness even before he opened his eyes. A significant memory for Matt was his 9th birthday which made the front page of the local newspaper and received a special mention on the radio. He grew up in a loving family of five and given every bit of love and support a young person could ever hope for. His upbringing has shaped him into the positive, genuine and humble man he is today. Matt entered the workforce as a paperboy, he also worked in retail and as a courier for a period of time. Matt currently has many job titles, he is a removalist by day, DJ, Event manager/promoter and steam train driver. He’s a self-made entrepreneur that’s evolved over the past two years to create a business he’s passionate and dedicated to. Matt’s professional journey began around two years ago when he turned his passion and appreciation for music into being a DJ. After building an exceptional reputation as a wedding DJ, Matt is now booked out well in advance for wedding season and various other functions. His dedication, professionalism, genuine nature and willingness to go above and beyond for his clients is reflected in the feedback he receives from clients. In 2017, Matt was the DJ for 52 events throughout the year. Being a DJ is more than just a job, it’s a passion. “Being a part of a couples wedding, giving them something to remember is more than just my job, it warms my heart every time I see the smiles as I reel off songs everyone dances and sings along to.” One of Matt’s passions is driving steam trains with his grandfather. He spent a considerable amount of time around the railway with his father and grandfather as a child. Being able to drive alongside a man he looks up to is something he treasures dearly. When asked about driving trains his response was “There’s just something about moving a machine that size along the tracks and the smell of the engine”. Seeing him drive the trains with his grandfather is evident that it’s something he thoroughly enjoys. Particular events in a person’s life ultimately shape who they are. People often like to keep their struggles private. I believe that what we endure in life makes us who we are, it’s a significant part of the story. I asked Matt what some significant events in his life were, both good and bad, to which his response was “hmmm”. After a tough few months following the separation of his fiancée in September last year and watching his mum struggle through breast cancer and a relapse Matt threw himself into his passions and found a new strength and determination within himself. He began creating, dreaming, believing in his abilities, setting goals and ultimately shaping his future. Matt has always had a passion for planning and creating events, whether it be a holiday, parties or events. It’s something he’s wanted to do most of his life. With a creative mind he sees an idea and puts things in place to make it happen. Matt’s first event was one close to his heart, a Breast Cancer Fundraiser. The event was attended by 110 people and raised $5000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Recently Matt co-hosted a Ladies night with Katie Green, including live music, mini massages, photographer, contact juggling and fire performances with gourmet platters provided served by topless butlers. The event was limited to a 100 people and sold out in two weeks. With plans in place for more events in 2018, this year is shaping up to be something special. Every success story is ultimately a choice to step outside of your comfort zone. When you are passionate, driven and believe in yourself anything is possible. Matt’s journey so far is just the beginning. Watch this space….
