A common story is the number of clients who do not realise they can fix mistakes that were made in the past. Recently I amended a tax return for a client with a rental property. Her previous Accountant assumed it was an old apartment & didn't ask whether she had a depreciation schedule and simply lodged the return. After I looked at it I told the client she could get a depreciation schedule done and I could amend her last 2 years. This resulted in a $4000 refund.
