My wife & I used Cliff for our wedding & we couldn't be happier with the results. - He arrived early and took photos of the venue and scoped out locations for our post-ceremony photos in advance. - He quoted for 4 hours coverage but stayed for 6 and didn't charge extra as he wanted to make sure that he didn't miss anything. - He made us laugh constantly throughout the day and especially made Cecilia (my wife) feel at ease as she was really nervous before the ceremony. - He didn't order us around or tell us where to stand or what to do. At times he was so unassuming that we didn't even notice that he was there - yet he still took great pictures and managed to capture everything. We were so pleased with the photos that we tried to pay him extra but he declined. Cliff, thanks so much for making our wedding day even better than it already was. Alex & Cecilia Read more

Frequently Asked Questions
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
Since 1997, I have experience in all aspects of photography ranging from press, professional sports, fashion, media, advertising, commercial & weddings. I have qualifications from the New York Institute of Photography as well as the following: MMEAA | GMNYIP | MSPAA | MPMAI | MDIMAI | MAIE | MAFA | LAPS.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
I am press/sports photographer and use my experience to cover the full gamut of photographic challenges using a very strong photo-journalistic style. I have been nominated for more than one Nikon-Walkley award in the past.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
I follow the code of ethics & conduct of the official governing body of journalists and press photographers in Australia: The MEAA [Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance].
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
It is really important that you have some idea of what you want; don't be vague or unclear in the way that you communicate your ideas. It is easier for me to complete a photographic brief if I know exactly what you are trying to achieve or what the photos will be used for; too much detail may not necessarily be a bad thing. Ideally, you need to think about: The type of images you want. What the images will be used for. The format that you want the images to be provided in.
How do you normally charge for your service?
Depending on the type of photographic job, I structure my charges differently. Press, professional sports, fashion, media, advertising & commercial work are priced on an hourly rate. Weddings are priced on a full session rate & are contingent on how many photos you want and the length of time that you want me to cover your special day.
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
I encourage every customer to get at least one quote; however, my experience, the quality of my work and my competitive rates guarantee the high frequency of commissioned work that I get.
What makes your pricing competitive?
Regardless of the type of photographic work that you are looking for, my pricing is always consistent & fair. Once we agree on the commissioned work, I don't have any hidden fees or charges that will be added later. There are too many cowboys in the photographic industry - and I refuse to be one of them.
What do you like most about your job?
I love dealing with people and I am a glutton for a photographic challenge. When it comes to portraiture & weddings, for example, people are always conscious of their own 'perceived' flaws and I have extensive experience in making people feel at ease so that we can get the photographic result that they want.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I have a real passion for photography; while working full-time in marketing, I used to work as a 'stringer' for a news service on the weekends and the quality of my photographic work spring-boarded me in to the industry full-time.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I do not have any hidden fees or charges & I completely guarantee my work; you will be able to print as many photos as you like including canvass print enlargements at no extra charge from the images that I will provide.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
Photographers often only show their best work on their websites; what you need to see is an entire body of work at one event so that you can gauge the overall standard of photos.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Having a clear vision of the style of photos that you want would be of great help. I have a photo-journalistic style but I will cater to whatever style you wish.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Having covered 4 Olympic games, 3 Rugby World Cups & 8 NRL Grand Finals, people always ask me why still take photos for regular people; my answer is always the same: I enjoy working with all sorts of people & photographing different situations. There are challenges in every job.
