I have professional indemnity insurance, which protects business owner against legal costs or loss of income. Of course my aim is to provide bookkeeping and professional services that are above reproach, so my work is guaranteed.

I served on the board of trustees for a school and as a volunteer doing administration work. I enjoyed the work and decided I could be good a bookkeeping.

I am a tax consultant for Uber Tax Accountants, working for a registered Tax Agent and Accountant, I am fully qualified to prepare bookkeeping records including financial statements for Tax Agents which will be checked and lodged by the Registered Tax Agent. Tax returns for individuals start at just $120. Business owners will receive tax return pricing prior to engagement.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

1. Frequency of work. For example, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly. 2. Location of work. 3. Type of work. I prefer business clients. Although I work as a tax-consultant for a registered Tax Agent, I can only afford to work for clients that have regular work for me and therefore I can't service clients who are individuals and only have employment and investment income.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Keep all of your business related receipts and invoices available for bookkeeping purposes and preferably, use a cloud, payments service, such as Hubdoc or Receipt Bank to keep track of your bills, receipts and statements. 2. If you can't easily prove that your vehicle is used 100% for business, keep a detailed log book. 3. Even if you prefer to do your own bookkeeping, have a qualified bookkeeper, such as Upgrade Bookkeeping review your bookkeeping each quarter.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Being a mobile bookkeeper, I have no real overhead costs to worry about, other than fuel and some consumables. So, I can reduce job costs by being flexible and combining client visits to reduce travel costs etc.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I have an established rate per hour for ongoing bookkeeping, but I also quote on one-off jobs or per-period jobs (for example: per quarter). Considerations for quoted jobs include the cost of travel between home and the place of work or between work places. The price for tax returns is set by the registered Tax Agent and you will receive pricing prior to engagement.

I am a Quickbooks Online, Xero, MYOB and Reckon accounting software advisor and trainer. Being qualified in the use of Microsoft Office programs, I can also help you get the most out of your MS Office 2016, 2017 or Office 365 software programs. I enjoy helping small business owners get their business tax records up to date.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have an Advanced Diploma of Accounting from TAFE NSW, BAS Agent Registration and over 10 years of bookkeeping experience working for sole-traders and companies. I am a tax consultant, working for a registered Tax Agent and am fully trained in tax return preparation procedures. I also offer training and support in the use of leading accounting software programs, such as MYOB, Reckon, Quickbooks and Xero.
