Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

One of my most favourite customers to date was a couple from Melbourne who were getting married at Miami Beach. They had never been to the Gold Coast before so I helped give them tips on where to stay, get ready and even how much time they would need to get to their ceremony. This helped them have a smooth wedding leaving them with a smile on their face and relatively stress free.

What do you like most about your job?

The diversity in taste when it comes to the 'Dream Wedding' is one of my favourite aspects. Knowing that each wedding is unique, and the people are truly excited for what is about unfold. Capturing once in a lifetime moments such as; the smiles, laughter and even tears during these events makes it worth while. People are too busy to see these small details on the day, so its great to be able to look back later to really appreciate everything that took place.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

These are the questions I are commonly asked by couples and families looking for photography packages. I have listed answers below each question as well to help you decide what services I offer.   Q) Are digital copies of our images included in this service? A) Yes, digital copies are always provided in every photo session and package I provide.   Q) Do your prices include GST? A) Yes, all prices quoted are GST inclusive.   Q) How long does it take to receive the images? A) Digital copies of the images are normally delivered within 2-4 weeks. Print and album packages may take longer depending on the time it takes to design albums and shipping times.   Q) What kind of downpayment do I need to pay, and is this an additional cost or a deposit?  A) I prefer a $200 or 10% (whichever is greater) minimum deposit, and it is a deposit - not an additional cost.   Q) Will I be able to make my own prints later if I choose?  A) All images delivered on the USBs are allowed to be printed if you choose at a later date. However, large prints may need to be purchased through me to get the best quality results.   Q) IF our session runs overtime, what charges may apply?  A) I charge a flat rate of $85/half hour after the session ends. I do give warning about the time if we run close allowing you to think if you would like more photographs or if you are satisfied with what has been taken.   Q) Are you flexible with prices/payments?  A) If you are on a budget, let me know and I will work out the best package I can for you. Payments are also flexible to help take the strain off your shoulders. Payments must be finalised at least two weeks prior to the event. If this isn't possible, again let me know and we can sort out a payment arrangement that suits you.

Possibly the most important attribute in this industry, is a friendly attitude and a willingness to listen to ideas. This is what makes my services stand out along with a fair price. With all of our photographic packages, while providing a high quality service - I charge only a standard rate no matter what kind of photography you may be looking for.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

It is important for me to know the date of the event, and the kind of photography package you are looking for. Be thorough in describing whether you would like prints, albums, canvases or any other extras. If you are a local, I am also happy to meet with you prior to the event to help you get a grasp on who I am, which is very important in my opinion. If there are any special events such as sand ceremonies it is important to give me these details so I can plan out how to photograph your ceremony.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Many photographers available often deliver packages of a similar price with print copies of the photographs only. This is fine but I provide the same high quality images on a USB rather than in print as standard, allowing you to store and share your photos with more friends and family. However, Prints are of course available upon request - or as part of a package deal.

While I am an "all-round" photographer, most of my career has been spent photographing weddings for all kinds of couples. All my couples have enjoyed fast delivery of their photographs and top quality extras if they would like to add a little more to their photography package.
