Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
I am friendly, young, professional yet extremely easy going - I prefer that the couple have exactly what they want on their day. I want the couple to be relaxed and enjoy every part of it, it should be what you want in a ceremony, not what I want!
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
I am a qualified and Registered Civil Celebrant with the Attorney General's Department. I have conducted over 100 ceremonies to date and truly love my job. I like to give my couples full control of their ceremony.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
I specialise in all areas - I will do anything (well almost) to make your day special - I have dressed like a pirate, I have married a couple dressed as the KISS band members - I am truly here to make your day exactly how you want it...
How do you normally charge for your service?
My price varies depending on your location. It will also depend on the type of ceremony you require, if you require a short legal ceremony, a fully personalised ceremony or a ceremony for immigration purposes will also affect the end price
What makes your pricing competitive?
I am always available, happy to come to you, provide everything you require for a ceremony (tables, chairs, decorations, PA system, can play your music, tablecloths and lectern, I also have 2 microphones for you to use.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
I offer a completely stress free celebrant with lots of ideas. I love hearing new ideas and being able to implement these in the way you hoped. Repeat customers and referrals also get a discount!
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
My fee is a flat fee. Once you have been quoted, this is exactly what I charge, whether I spend 20 hours on your ceremony or 40 hours, you will only be charged the flat fee.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Date of Ceremony & Ceremony Location is all I need to know for me to provide a quote - Once you have decided you would like to meet me, I will need an address, so I can pop on over and we can start the ball rolling.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I am a member of a professional association which provides me with Insurance and guidance. I guarantee to be where you want me to be, on time, prepared and ready!
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
My passion. I love what I do and I want to ensure you are the most stress free person there! I always arrive at the location at least 30 minutes prior to test music, calm the grooms nerves and set up exactly as planned - I also take control of the setting.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
What do you provide?
I provide everything needed to ensure your ceremony runs smoothly and all the legal provisions in the ceremony as well as before and after to ensure your marriage is legal.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
The customer needs to ensure their celebrant is the right fit for them. Not everyone clicks together. If you are not comfortable with your celebrant chances are you will not get the ceremony you want - be honest at all times and you will get the right fit.
What do you like most about your job?
I love my job. Each and every wedding is different. Each and every couple is different and each one has something to teach me, something to make me laugh and something I can refer to later on. I love public speaking, I love meeting new people. Celebrancy is my passion.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I have many - my favourite one is a Wedding I conducted in Melbourne for a couple who treated me like a friend from the start - they were an amazing couple and just the mention of their names makes me smile - we exchange Christmas Cards and I always remember their wedding day and send them a card!
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
My love of public speaking and creative writing seen me looking for something more fulfilling. When we married, we had a celebrant and my husband decided that was exactly what he could see me doing - he was right - I have never regretted my decision - I simply love what I do!
