We strip old mattresses down then distribute the inner makings of the mattresses to the necessary places for recycling, here's an example... * Timber is sent to a timber processing plant for re-use as wood chip or for use in the manufacturing of particle board. * Steel, such as the springs are sent to a scrap metal merchant who melts down and re-uses it in buildings and infrastructure as well as in vehicles and appliances. * Foam and wadding from inside the mattresses is re-used as carpet underlay.
