Pleasant to deal with but a bit unreliable. Cancelled the first days painting due to other commitments and turned up late for the last day, again due to other commitments, meaning the painting couldn't be completed as the clouds had dispersed and the sun was heating the wall to be painted too m... On the workmanship front it was generally OK but there is a section of cutting in which is very poor. The paint is has been applied far too thick and too wide and it will never be hidden with two coats of roller applied paint. Any more coats will now involve me in extra unnecessary expense. Read more

1 Up Property Development Pty Ltd is owned and operated by Dulux Accredited Painters Alex Hutchinson and Mitch Shine, whom together have over 15 years of combined experience in the building & construction industry. Although we are young, we have quickly earned respect from builders and one-time clients alike due to our professionalism and finish quality.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Before we can provide a quote to our customers, we require detailed information on the job. This may include what brands and qualities of paints the client may prefer, whether they are asking for a feature wall, etc.
Generally, we will have a thorough inspection of the job first hand before we quote it, noting any pre-existing damage and discussing extras with the client.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
Painting and Colour advice and consultation:
This is a standalone interior design consultation service for clients who are having difficulty choosing paints and/or colours, or clients who want to actually do the painting themselves. During these discussions we will explore colour schemes (including feature walls), paint types and sheen levels, all of which will aid your decisions for your new or newly renovated home.
Normally we would charge $125 for this service, but for our OneFlare customers we offer a discounted $100 fee.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
We have public liability insurance up to $20 million, and as Dulux Accredited Painters we can personally guarantee our painting applications for 5 years.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
We are a one-stop shop for a wide range of trades, including but not limited to painting, plastering, tiling, and flooring.
How do you normally charge for your service?
We assess every job individually and charge on a case-by-case basis. For commercial painting and plastering works we usually charge an agreed metre-rate based upon plans.
