Our business is insured completely with public liability limit of $10,000,000.00 also we have a structural guarantee that lasts for five years.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I had a long term job, and a friend asked me one weekend to help him to do a concreting job, after I saw the transformation of the before and after I really enjoyed it.  I also liked the moving around from one day to another and working outdoors, so I decided to get qualified and do it myself.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My favourite customer was a little old lady that fed us all day and made us cups of tea and informed us about the area we were in because her street was named after her husband, so she told us all about this.  She was very memorable.

What do you like most about your job?

I like the way we start with a clean palette whether it be old concrete to replace or a clean block of dirt,  then we create a work of art and look back and feel good about the transformation that has taken place.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

The customer should always ask if the contractor has a licence, this is crucial to the trade to insure that all the tradies are on a level field, and make sure you get the right person for the job.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Is the concrete going to crack?  I tell them that all concrete cracks but putting the control joints in the right places it will crack through the control joints rather than the surface of the concrete.

We have been in the concreting business for a long time and one thing we have learned along the way is if you want to succeed in the business you have to be trustworthy, so when you say you are going to be there you are there... on time.

Because we turn up for quotes on time and we guarantee the best quality jobs.  We also won HIA concreter of the year award. This is what makes us standout from the rest.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We need to know how many square metres there is in the job and whether there is excavation involved, if the customer knows whether there is pest control needed we can include this into the price.

We prefer to start the job and finish the job to completion because then we can be completely responsible for the process of the job and then if any disputes are to be resolved we can take full responsibility.

How do you normally charge for your service?

To receive payment we normally charge by invoice and the customer usually transfers the money into our account that night.  If they can't do that they give us a cheque.
