How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I've always had a love of photography, and seeing the joy on a couple's face when they receive their wedding photos is a privilege and an honour. Being able to stay home during the week with my 2 boys and work on the weekends doing what I love the most is the perfect set-up.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I have many favourite weddings I've done over the years, but perhaps the most special are the ones where a couple gets married after either the bride or groom, or tragically both, have lost partners before them.  There's always something extra special and extra emotional about letting go of the past and starting a new life with someone they probably never thought they'd meet.

What do you like most about your job?

I love my job taking wedding photographs because I'm a  romantic at heart and enjoy sharing such an important occasion with my clients.  I get butterflies when I see a couple's face at the site of their photos; the joy in their eyes knowing they've got such a special keepsake from their day.  I've also become friends with many of my clients, subsequently photographing their children or being recommended to a relative or friend and meeting up with them again.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

To hire the right person to take your photos, you should make sure they are a legitimate business. Do they have Insurance? Have a look at their work and make sure they have a wide variety of shots. Read their testimonials, as this is the best way to make sure you are hiring someone who is trusted and professional.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

For a wedding, customers most commonly ask, "how long will you be with us for?" I tend to work more on 'getting the job done', rather than a time limit. With any event, particularly weddings, things can happen which cause delays or difficulties. I will be there until I have captured everything I promise I will, whether that's two hours or five hours. I'm also often asked what I provide at the end of a job. This varies according to your budget and needs, but generally I will give all photographs I take to you on a USB stick to print yourself. They will be fully edited and in high and low resolution, which means you can print shots at any size without losing quality, including enlargements and canvases.

For a quick and simple quote from KT Pearl Photography, please provide what you would like photographed and/or the rough duration.  For example, for a wedding, would you like shots of the bride taken as she's getting ready through to the end of the reception, or perhaps just the ceremony itself and a few pictures afterwards?

I'm more than happy at KT Pearl Photography to accept payment for your wedding or event in instalments.  A lot of couples prefer to operate this way as it means no big lump sum payment at the end.

Every wedding or event is different, and KT Pearl Photography understands this.  Whether you're getting married with a guest list of 300 or eloping by a tree in the Dandenongs, Kellie is happy to work out a price that suits your situation and budget.  No job is ever too big or too small.

Kellie is well-priced, fair and takes into account your individual situation.  Once a rate has been agreed on for a job, KT Pearl Photography just requires a small deposit and the balance any time on or before your event.

Whilst KT Pearl Photography also photographs events such as Christenings and birthdays, we specialise in weddings.  Kellie treats every couple as though it's her first, with care, humour and sensitivity to your needs.
