Yes, I have professional indemnity insurance it will cover up to $1 million loss of any clients due to my negligence. I have lodged PI insurance/certificate of currency with Oneflare.

After working with number of years within a very competitive finance profession I understand that my experience and skills used for my employer. It would be great to work with small business and help them to achieve their goals encourage me to start my own Accounting & bookkeeping business in 2013.

Client should ask Tax Accountant & Bookkeeper whether they have legality to work as Tax Accountant or Bookkeeper and having proper indemnity insurance. Without the proper legality client may hire someone never have any experience and destroy the accounting information system and client will not able to get anything as the Accountant or Bookkeeper do not have PI insurance.

I usually ask client following few things such as:  When they lodged their last Company/Individual/Partnership tax return When the client lodge the last BAS? Do the client maintain any Accounting software? What is the business structure? How client maintain their documents? Did the client had bookkeeper in the past? Whey they want to change Accountant?

My suggestions are:  Tip 01: If you orgasine it will save my time and eventually it will save your money  Tip 02: Always keep all your receipts even a $2 purchase it add up over the quarter  Tip 03: Please separate you personal finance from the business finance. I will advice you for using business debit card for all business expenses it will make my life easy and it will help your bookkeeping cost down and preparing tax returns will be much easeir/

If the client at least stays for whole year and done their business tax return, individual tax return, bookkeeping and BAS then I will not charge any fees for individual tax return.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I am operating my business from home and therefore I will able to charge you very reasonable hourly rate. At the moment I am charging $30-$35 an hour for bookkeeping.

How do you normally charge for your service?

After completion of the service I issue tax invoice to the client. My hourly rate is $30-$35 for Bookkeeping and tax returns depends upon the complexity of work.. My business is GST registered and therefore, you will able to claim the GST portion while you lodge your BAS with ATO>

I help my clients from set up a business to running a successful business and fullfilling all ATO and other governmetn obligations. Advising client to best business structure, set up a new company/other business format, GST registration or PAYG registration, quarterly calcuation of GST amount, maintaing the book and at the year end help client to prepare the sole trader/partnership or company tax return.
