I had thought that the CPU had failed but shortcut computers diagnosed the problem correctly. It was just a busted graphics card and the system ran fine on the motherboard's graphics chip. Saved me a lot of money! I'll surely never do any diagnosis of my own in future. Nice guy knew what he was t... Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
We have several story's to tell but we where hired for a customer only 4 streets away. They had called a much bigger IT company to fix a couple of problems with a computer. After the company went out 3 times and charged over $400 to fix the problem. We got a call and offered free phone support as it seemed to be a simple problem. Customer called back and advised the problem was still there so we went out onsite to find the work had been done incorrectly. 20 minutes later the problem was solved customer received a bill under $100 and now they refer us to other businesses and friends in the area as there expectations where exceeded.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
As a computer enthusiast from a teenager i personally got involved in IT as i wanted to find ways of building faster computers. Speed, capacity back in the 80's was expensive and very limited. Since i have been custom building computers since then i still have the same passion of building something better then my competitors
