Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes.  Sovereign tiling has all relevant insurances and is licensed by the qbcc in wall and floor tiling and waterproofing which gives our clients a 7 year warranty on our work covered by a government agency.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As luck would have i did tiling as work experience whilst at school and found it hard.  When i left school i tried to become an electrician or plumber instead but couldn't get an apprenticeship.  As my third choice trade i thought i had better try get an apprenticeship in tiling next and the first tiler i called in the phonebook gave me a job,  i guess it was meant to be haha.

I have time and again been told by customers how impressed they are by how flat and perfect our floors look.  We really do pride ourselves on being superior and that is what i have built my business on, quality first.

I like the freedom i have with my time and meeting different people and helping them make their vision a reality, it really is satisfying to shake their hand at the end and hear them say how happy they are with the job.

ask for examples of his work. ask for any accreditation i.e. trade license ask for his website to get an overview of how professional he is. ask for any jobs that can be inspected or his current job.

FAQ how long will it take ? answer would be different on every occasion but as a guide a complete 4 bedroom home including 2 bathrooms would take about 5 days.  A bathroom will take minimum 3 days due to allowing drying time between floor tiling wall tiling and grouting.

I believe you should stick to your word and as a christian this is something i try to do.  I strive to be honest in all my business practices also as an extension of my beliefs.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The type of tile and the area and nature of the surface to be tiled would be the best information to give us.  There are different processes for tiling over old tiles or over timber floor than to tile over concrete and this can influence the pricing.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

By doing any menial tasks such as tile removal or carpet removal and presenting the area free of furniture or other personal possessions.Also  having the tiles left in a convenient location is great too.

It is standard for tilers to charge per metre squared for tiling to walls and floors areas and per lineal metre for skirting tiles or pool copings etc or anything involving a single line of tiles.
