Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
We tend to focus on the building and branding of any and all Online materials i.e. websites, email campaigns etc as well as online environments. Furthermore, we like to take those websites and marketing material and make sure they are search engine (Google, Yahoo & BING) compliant, up to date with modern trends and user-friendly.
How do you normally charge for your service?
We don't really have a set fee. Each person's business needs are different. We like to look at each business individually and build everything around what you need to get you pointed in the right direction. We are a boutique agency so building and retaining client relationships is what is important to us. (It also pays the bills). Some things may cost peanuts where some other things may cost a little bit more. However, nothing is worth an arm or a leg. We started from the ground up and have been where you are before and are just as weary as you when it comes to empty promises...
What makes your pricing competitive?
As mentioned in the previous question there is no set fee. Many of our competitors have a flat rate that should be paid in order to get the job done, but we are flexible and nothing is set in stone. All it takes is a phone call and a friendly conversation. We are there for you. Because, lets face it, without you we would all be stuck in some other job that we dislike and not doing what we are passionate about.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
At this stage we are still small and we don't have any real specials out there, but because you come from One Flare we are more than willing to put you in the Friends and Family category!
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Tip One: Research - Research what it is you want. There is no such thing as a stupid idea Tip Two: Have a plan - We don't expect all of you to be experts, but we all have a vision. Tip Three: Call us first - We are not saying we are the Best of the Best, but in our experience, we are the only ones in Victoria giving the Personal Touch. Even if we cannot do the job for you, we will have someone you can speak to who can at very competitive rates.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Website: Do you have a Logo? Do you have a preferred colour scheme? (+3 Colours) Do you have a few sites you like or dislike? Do you have content and images? Functionality: What do you want from the Website? i.e what do you want to be able to do?(Website maintenance/management) Functionality: What do you want your website visitors to be able to do or see? Marketing: Whats your Idea? Whats your Plan? Where do you want to be in 3, 4, 6 or 12 months sales-wise etc? Who are your competitors? What are they doing that you are not? What are they NOT doing that you can do, if not better? We work around you. This is not a dictatorship.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Unfortunately we are small, but everything is based on the buddy system. We will not charge fpr something we cannot do
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
This seems to be, no matter which way you try to answer this question, an arrogant and skewed answer. All we can say is give us a chance to speak with you, either in person or via the Phone or Skype. We have many clients that can vouch for us and our credibility etc.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Most of the time the biggest question we get is about turn around time and price. Our answer: Time - Depends on what you need and how long it would naturally take to complete that request Price: is determined by the time taken. however, as mentioned many times before, its all flexible and nothing is written in stone.
What do you like most about your job?
What I like about my job the most is that it's always been, for as long as i can remember, what I've always wanted to do. I love being creative etc but first and foremost is that I really love the times where we educate, train and empower our clients to do things themselves.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I don't have one in particular to be honest. All my clients are special in their own way and we all have our own individual stories, circumstances and situations.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
Well, considering my first job after leaving high school was working 4km underground on a gold mine as an engineer. When I discovered the world of Graphic design - back in the stone ages - I never looked back. Its been a long road, at first working for many Corporate giants and then not so big ones I eventually realised how A) I could do this myself and make things cheaper for the people who need these services - create a market niche for myself, & B) the corrupt and dishonest way these companies were treating the their clients and how the proverbial bottle neck was more used than that of it actual purpose - to enjoy a cold beer when the day is done with no stress or nigglies getting in the way
