My brother was a TV technician and I didn't want to be stuck in a workshop all day so I took on the aerial side of the business. I moved to Newcastle in 1982 and went into business for myself.

I like meeting people and the fact someone is relying on me to get the job done and I can get results both myself and the customer are happy with. It is very satisfying to get referral work.

We are a family business and care about customer satisfaction. We have longer opening/contact hours than many. Will attempt to fix it rather than give up and replace everything at considerable cost.

If the customer wants a specific job done I can give an accurate quote. If it is a reception issue then I have to call out to do tests. I will ask specific questions before giving a quote over the phone and will honour the quoted price if they engage me to do the work.

Low overheads and quotes by phone reduce my costs which I can pass on. I believe in reasonable pricing which creates more work and repeat customers.

I charge per service done, not the time it takes to do it. Set prices for set services. Cash, cheque or card.

I do new work but really specialise in reception improvement. I love a challenge and meeting good people.I set my standards high and get many recommendations.

Many many years of experience with guaranteed results. There is no apprenticeship for this trade so that opens the market up for inexperienced people's guesswork. Experience and reputation are really the only options you can consider, to get the job done right.
