Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

We are fully insured and fully licensed. We give a guarentee which our suppliers provide - normally 1 - 2 years for motors and compressors. Circuit boards have 6months, and we alway's guarantee out workmanship - we take a lot of pride with what we do.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My line of work experience stems from our family. My Brother was a tech. My Father was a Tech (retired). My Uncle was Senior Head Teacher at Tafe' (retired). And me - still working, lol.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

One favourite client story would be job i arrived to where three previous trademan had been to it, only to leave where one had no idea (as quoted to client by him), the other took a call out fee and 'said' he fixed it (but didn't), the other did all the tests and said 'everything normal' (but wasn't), then i was called and located the 2 faults (electrical) which was the problem. There's an old saying - "There's no substitue for experience", or "There's a heap of highly matriculated dummies out their with degree's but not a lot of practical ability". Experience happens in time.

What do you like most about your job?

To be honest, i like seeing clients impressed. It makes me feel i've achieved something, and made another customer feel good about the day. I like a good challange with any job, keeps me dialed in to technology. Stressing sometimes, but rewarding.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

A client should ask to see a tradies license.  Ask how much the job will cost before commencing. Ask if there are other options for the job without effecting the systems design or operation.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Accepted Answer

Clients alway's ask "How Much" to fix the job before i get a chance to say.  Normally i try to give two to three options depending on the breakdown. If i need to stick to one option, i will alway's state there's only the one option - or other. They ask if i have a call out fee before agreeing to have me come out. They ask about their air con or frig quality, or the performance and overall condition of their unit.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We are reliable and punctual. If by chance we run a little late for your job, we will call or txt (call first, if no answer, we leave a message, then follow up with a txt). We've heard all the stories about over price disshonest tradies or dodgy companies. We only charge for what you require - nothing more. We quote before we commence work and get your go ahead to start.

We believe our service is 'old school' and friendly. We have a no pressure attitude to doing business with our clients. We believe our friendly easy going approach towards our clients leave them feeling relaxed about doing business with us. We also feel our honest direct advice, leaves our clients 'in the picture' without using confusing 'trade jargen' which can be confusing to absorb - we keep it simple for you.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Our pricing is a flat rate charge of $55. This fee is applicable to weekends as well. No call our fee within 10klm of the c.b.d. We don't believe a call out fee should be warranted for short disdance travel. Should we have to travel over the 10klm, a fee of $100 will be invoiced, but for this, we will include the first hour free, then $55/ hour applies.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We accept Credit Card, Cash, Paypal or Cheque. A tax invoice will alway's be given for your files.
