How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Saw an acreage property with a run down kennel licence, we bought knowing new facilities  were required and also this allowed my wife to be a home based mother with a job.

When a cattle dog Jack changed ownership 3 times ,all past owners referred our kennels to his new parents. And 15 years later he continues his boarding with us.

The temperament of the carer with animals is very important, can only be judged  by how phone or personal contact is handled, especially when a facility inspection is requested.

Do animal get exercised?. Yes they are let out daily in an exercise yard .What are they fed? Dry food in morning and main feed at night (chicken and beef mince cooked with paster rice and vegetables.

We are long standing in the Kennel business and have many contented customers. We have personal recommendations on our website.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Dog need to be immunised to come in or no quote, need to know Breed and size and any special needs.

Animals arriving 4 PM or later no charge on that day and no charge on pick up day if gone by 10AM.

We monitor competitor charges and don't have any add ones that add to quote after animal arrives ,such as hydro bathing  as a requirement on drop off and compulsory flee treatment .

How do you normally charge for your service?

Payment is at boarding conclusion save where it is over 3 weeks when we ask for weekly payment. We allow direct payment to our Bank Account by internet banking on issue of invoice.

We specialize in long term boarding and provide special attention to these animals so they are happy and less likely to fret..

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We had on the job training by previous owners some 35 years ago, and now with 35 years experience should qualify in Kennel Management.
