We are insured, all registered Building Designers in Victoria need to be covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.  We are members of the BDAV, and provide design and drafting to the highest of standards.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Having been an avid drawer since I was a child I have always been drawn to creative work. My employment background was initially in graphic art and illustration and I have also enjoyed studying visual art and public art, but in my earlier 30s I developed a strong interest in architecture and decided to follow a career path change and studied for my Advanced Diploma in Building Design, and I have found designing stylish, clever homes for people to be the most rewarding career choice yet

Working along with a client to achieve what they really want out of their new home or renovation/extension.  Getting passionate about the design of their project and finding ways to make it cost effective yet stylish.

How interested is the designer in this project?  What are the steps in the design process?  What is their design philosophy?  What will the designer show you along the way to explain the project? Will you see drawings or sketches?  What services are included in the fees?  What would the architect or designer expect the fee to be for this project?  Is it a percentage based fee or a quotation based on the time taken to provide the services and permits required?  If the scope of the project changes, how will additional fees be determined?

We will guide you all the way through and explain everything which will be necessary to get your project through to completion - all the steps and the services required can be organised by us.

- type of project eg new home, renovation or extension - is a Planning Permit required? or working drawings for a Building Permit only (we can contact your local Council for you and find this out if you don't know) - approximate size and complexity of your proposed project

- do plenty or research on the internet for the style and feel you would like to achieve for your new home or renovation/extension - sketch up some ideas if you are feeling creative! - getting in contact with your local council to see what permits you require and if a soil test is required will get you underway

Our Building Designer can come to you and discuss your needs and provide you with a quotation and explain all steps and services which will be required for your particular project.
