How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Scott Elsom, All Sorted's General Manager, oversaw the operations of a large American contracting business, servicing the US Military in Iraq. He had around 20 Accountants from third world countries working for him. When the US Military withdrew from Iraq in 2011 he, and a number of his accounting staff, set up All Sorted Business Services (an Australian company) as a way of providing a better bookkeeping service to small businesses in Australia and to provide ongoing employment to his staff in their home countries.

As well as helping small businesses in Australia to reduce their costs and become more efficient, we also empower professionals in third world countries, providing them, and their families, with opportunities unavailable to them if working for local accounting firms. That is what I like most about what we do.

Who owns your software subscription - your or your bookkeeper/accountant?  With some accounting software your accountant/bookkeeper receives a commission on your subscription payments and retains control of your software subscription. We recommend that you own and retain control of your software and grant access to your accountant.

What is the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant? Bookkeepers are often referred to as Accountant's however, the two have very different, but key roles in the accounting process.   Businesses require accurate and timely accounting information to make informed business decisions. This information is prepared and documented by bookkeepers for accountants. What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

The security of our clients financial information and protecting their privacy is our highest priority. We have a very strict privacy policy which all staff must comply with. In addition, all of our staff have have undergone police checks in their home countries.  We do not have access to any of your bank accounts and we do not make payments on your behalf, ensuring that only you, and your staff, have access to your funds.

Each of our Accountants are degree qualified in their own country and they have all completed a Certificate IV in Accounting in Australia, ensuring that they understand the Australian accounting standards and the Australian way of doing business.
