We hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance and guarantee our work in full.  We are also committed to ongoing professional development which ensures that we are continuing to learn new tools and techniques to better support our clients.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We love what we do and would like to shout it from the rooftops, but respecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients is far too important for us.  That is why we also choose not to publish any photographs from any of the jobs we have completed.  We hope all of our past, present and potential future clients appreciate our strong stance on this.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Ask as many questions as you need to!  As you invited professional organisers into your home it is important that you feel comfortable with the person you hire as you will often be working side by side and can at times be dealing with things that may make you uncomfortable.  I also suggest that once you shortlist someone, ask to meet them in person to make a final decision.

All staff hold current security clearances and our services are non-judgmental and strictly confidential.   As a proud member of the Australasian Association of Professional Organisers (AAPO), Allsorts Organising abides by the AAPO Code of Conduct ensuring that we will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, including that which may be revealed by other organisers. We will respect the confidential nature of the client’s information, and will use proprietary client information only with the client’s permission.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Melissa is the only Canberra-based organiser with qualifications from the Institute of Challenging Disorganization in the US which means that she is best placed to support and guide individuals who are struggling with compulsive disorganisation, ADHD, OCD or hoarding issues.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Every project is so different, but generally we need to know the size of the space and an idea of the sorts of items you have in it, or for an event, the basics around type of event, number of guests, budget etc..  We will work with you to identify your goals and establish a project plan to work from.

1. Don’t buy anything before we start - you may find you don’t need it at all once you have finished so don’t spend the money in case you don’t need to! 2. Think about the vision for your home or your space - what do you want to get from your space? 3. Stop procrastinating and get started today!

Based on a survey of members of the Australasian Association of Professional Organisers, our pricing is very competitive in terms of industry mean. We are also highly trained and experienced, enabling our clients to gain the most from our services.  Sometimes the cheapest isn’t always the greatest value.

We have a number of packages available allowing our clients to find the right package to suit their needs and budgets.  If we don’t have a package available, we will happily create something to suit your needs.

Allsorts Organising specialises in working with chronically disorganised people and those who are struggling with hoarding issues.  We are not counsellors or psychologists, but we are highly experienced and qualified professional organisers with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
