I have an Accountant, Why do I need a Bookkeeper? A Bookkeeper goes through your daily transactions, assists you with day to day issues and guides you  in the direction yourself and your Accountant have previously discussed. Your bookkeeper will prepare and lodge your BAS and/or IAS as required.  An Accountant is who you see yearly or quarterly when you need to report to the tax office  How soon are you available to complete my work? After I discuss with you and get a feel for what your requirements are I give you a realistic timeline for completion.   Are you insured, qualified and registered as a BAS Agent? I am. I have a Certificate IV in Accounting and am registered as a BAS agent with the Australian Tax Practitioners Board. (Registration No 25276419) I have current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance as a BAS Agent.

Cleaning up messing bookkeeping - cleaning up a bookkeeping file that is a little messy and checking for missed items.  Translating ATO requirements - translating in easy to understand terms, what it is the ATO actually require and assisting with the best way to keep track of and record this.
