How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Very long story, but as a teenager I loved business practices at school receiving high marks and through a crazy journey of Managing Restaurants to running my own Retail Shop, moving from Brisbane to Adelaide to Brisbane I finally found my niche in life. Book keeping and working with owners and their businesses and helping their businesses grow.

I love watching my clients grow with their businesses. We both learn different things off each other.

I love working with small business and helping them grow and minimise their tax requirements. I prefer to work with many differing businesses as I am always learning new aspects about being in business. You are never to old to learn. I have an eye for numbers and can scan figures quickly like speed reading your favourite novel.

To run a business you need to keep all the correct information for taxation purposes. You need to know what you can legally claim and what you cannot claim. Each business has differing items they can claim compared to another type of business for example petrol station to a coffee shop have differing expenses they can claim or which is allowable.

What software do I use? MYOB the current one  How long will it take to complete the work?  Depends on the paperwork and how organized the business is. When can you come out? I can come out for 2 hours upto 6hours per day during the school hours as I have a young son.

As I run my own businesses you need to be reliable and trustworthy. Clients give me their bank information as I am trusted to find the information not abuse the system. My name and business is at stake too.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I am flexible with my time as it is just me. It is more personal. I am quick, efficient and accurate. I work closely with your accountant. Hire me as you need me, that can be weekly,fortnightly, quarterly. If you hire me  I have a  minimum of two hours only. As I get to know your business I get faster. What business owner doesn't want to save money??

How often the client needs me to attend the work place, weekly - quarterly. What they need done - BAS preparation, Payroll, Superannuation, Data Entry, Reconciliations, P&L Reporting, End of Year Payment Summaries and Roll overs etc.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Be organized have all of your bank statements for the period printed off and ready. Keep all of your receipts together and sort monthly ( sort by credit card, cash etc) Make sure all of your information is legible easy to read and understand so can enter information quickly.

I can be flexible depending on the hours of work. If you require me only quarterly my charge is higher than if you need me weekly for example.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I will email a detailed invoice of the work completed to you directly plus I give you 7 days to pay. I do not charge GST as I am under the threshold.

My experience is with the MYOB software over 14 years working with a program makes you very efficient with the work load and finding information. I have an eye for numbers they all need to match up.

I have been running my own businesses for the past 15 years and prior to that I was in the Management field of Hospitality and Retail for 12 years. I understand what is required from the bottom to the top of running your own business.
