  I employed Chris for his courteous manner, enthusiasm and the fact he had claimed 20 years’ experience in the roofing industry. My partner and I had been let down by the incompetence, carelessness and, at times, unsavoury tactics employed by the various trades over the course of our renovation. Armytage Roofing seemed to tick all the boxes. Sadly, however, they contributed to the trend. With every issue I flagged, I was belittled with all the answers under the sun. And I was asked for payment, despite unfinished work and a pile of materials left on my neighbour’s vacant block. Granted, the roof was installed and in working order, but Armytage Roofing missed the mark.
