I charge a standard rate for a three hour block. If the customer requires my services for a longer period I will then charge a reasonable hourly rate for the extra time.

1. I will send them a list of songs in my repertoire
2. They can specify the songs they'd like me to perform on their special day
3. We will review the schedule including breaks and speeches to ensure my peformance fits within the organised schedule and the time required for me to be there doesn't exceed three hours. This way, the customer won't have to pay more than the standard rate.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
I would need to know if they require a standard three hour service, which most customers find is ample time, considering other elements in the itinerary including speeches. I would also enquire about the function centre to work out how much time would be required to get there and set up. If they required my services for a longer period we would then negotiate a price.
