We have full Public Liability Insurance for our staff at any event we cater at.  I can guarantee that you will be happy with what we offer or we will discuss and alter charges.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I didn't decide - my customers did!  But I love it.  The creativity, the satisfaction and the pleasure of seeing people delight when they eat my food.  Very very rewarding.

There are hundreds but recently I catered for a 50th birthday bash and we were included in all the festivities.  We felt like part of the crowd rather than the staff in the kitchen.  We loved that event and it made us feel very special.

7 years of experience and a no nonsense attitude to my work.  I will not rip anyone off for an event or function.  We offer good value, good portions and a big smile.

Know what style of food you would like, know approximately how many people we are catering for and if there are any food allergies to consider.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Local small business with low overheads makes our pricing competitive.  Also offering great value for money sets us apart from our competitors.  We offer generous portions of good food.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We charge either by per person or by per platter.  After quotation a contract is issued stating all the customer requirements and then a deposit is taken.  7 days prior to the event we finalise numbers and invoice accordingly.  Direct deposit or by credit card or we even take cash!

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We specialise in catering in challenging locations.  In paddocks, shearing sheds, in the middle of nowhere with no power and no facilities.  We have a catering trailer with generator, sink and mobile water supply as well as all our catering equipment.  We can bring food anywhere!

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been delighting guests at Black Wattle Retreat with my cooking for over 9 years.  The catering business developed as a result of guests asking me to cater for a special occasion for them.  I have learned from recipes, first hand cooking with some great chefs and listening to what people actually want.
