I am fully certified as per the Tax Practitioners Board requirements (Certificate IV in Bookkeeping) and I am also fully insured. My work is guaranteed, and I work closely with my clients Accountants to ensure they are happy with my work.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I spent many years as a temp worker with Accounting Placement firms. The suggestion actually came from a permanent employer. I decided to branch out on my own as I felt I could offer a great all round service to my clients.

What do you like most about your job?

I really enjoy ensuring that my clients get a personalised service. I also love it when clients are able to see where they are going with their business and you can hear the relief when everything is taken care of.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

How long will it take to do the work? I try to work on around 1 hour per monthly bank statement, the average being around 3 - 4 pages. The time taken will also depend on whether I am provided with all the necessary receipts etc to effectively process the transactions.

Most of my clients are word of mouth and long term from 6 months to 7 years. I am fully insured and would be happy to provide references.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Make sure you have all your bank statements 2. Make sure you have all the receipts/invoices etc to match the statement 3. Try to have these in some sort of order ie put paperwork with the right month

What makes your pricing competitive?

My pricing in based on my experience and skills. I have questioned others in my industry and found a middle ground between what they charge and what an Accountant would charge you for their bookkeepers time.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Clients are charged $45 per hour (GST free), with a minimum of one hour (invoiced in 15 minute increments after the first hour). All clients are provided an invoice with 7 days to pay.

My role encompasses every task from simple data entry to BAS and Payroll. My clients are from many industries from Cleaning to Plumbing, Non Profit organisations to Bricklayers.

I am fully qualified with a Certificate IV in bookkeeping and 20 years in the accounting industry. My skills include payroll, debtors and creditors.
