How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Working in the banking industry after I left shcool, I quickly decided that Numbers was my forte.... I started doing small jobs from the back of my house years ago and quickly build a reputation as "The Bookkeeper". I then decided to take this a step up and opened my own business.

One of the most common questions customers ask is ' How much GST do I have to pay". Usually they ask this before the work is completed therefore my answer has to be ' "I will be able to send you off the reports for GST once i finalise the work". I also tell the client the importance of competing the bookkeeping at a regular basis so that they are able to view reports on their business performance

How many months/years they are behind with ATO BAS lodgements etc. How many bank accounts they operate from ( cheque accounts/ credit cards/ loans/ etc) Do they want the work done via accrual or cash method.

1) Make sure that all paperwork is available 2) Make sure that all statements are available and in  date order. 3) Be honest and upfront with the staff at Books-R-Us . We can only help you if you tell us everything

Our initial consultation for 1 hour is free. This is to get to know the client and get a better understanding of the new client's needs. We either charge by the hour, or we have newly introduced packages to suit every business budget
