Definitely as it is a condition of being licensed with the QBCC.  Insured with Weber Insurance for Professional Indemnity, and Vero (through Master Builders QLD) for Public Liability.

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

I like helping people who are in a stressful position by giving them a complete picture of the house they are buying, so that they can make an informed decision.  I really enjoy finding things in a house that I know other Inspectors wouldn't pick up.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What is included in your report?  On average, how many pages is your report?  How long have you specifically been inspecting buildings?  What trade did you have before you were a builder and for how long, and what sort of jobs did you do?  All these point to the Inspector's credibility in the building industry.

Customers often ask if I will get on the roof, and the answer is yes, unless it is quite dangerous.  As a small business owner, I am able to determine for myself and be flexible where I am able to go, rather than having to follow company practices than can be limiting.

I'm always on time, I do what I say I'm going to do, and I have the experience, skills and knowledge to back up any claims I make.  I've only ever had compliments from customers. never complaints, as I have integrity.  I've done this for the last 20 years and I plan to do it for the next 20 years!

Apart from providing fantastic value for money, you can speak with our inspector directly about your Inspection and Report. We also provide a free 30 minute building consultation for first home buyers so that you can ask questions on maintenance requirements or renovation possibilities.

Number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, and whether you require a combined building and pest inspection, or building only inspection.

Before a pool safety inspection we will send you a link with all the requirements so that you can assess whether you think you comply before we come out.  That way, you're most likely to be able to get your pool safety certificate on the first inspection.

Payment needs to be made at or before the inspection. Secure credit card facilities are available at the inspection, or can be made via bank transfer..

in my building trade I specialised in colonial/heritage style buildings, so I am well versed in many different types and methods of building and building materials.
