Frankston Bookkeeping holds Professional Indemnity Insurance as a legal requirement to be a BAS agent under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. PI insurance provides cover for the agent against claims made by a client who suffer loss due to an act, error or omission in their provision as services provided. This is a strong consumer protection measure which provides a mechanism to compensate clients.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have worked for small and not for profit business doing financial and office management roles. I decided to open Frankston Bookkeeping so that my family and work life could work together better while still following my passion of numbers.

Working with a bookkeeper you need to know that you will always have the opportunity to discuss issues arising, so that any issues referring to your books can be addressed straight away.

A lot of customers don't understand there business reports, eg balance sheet, profit and loss. I have a wonderful booklet that I give to my customers so that they are learn more and become empowered about their own business.

We like to know the monthly transactions of the business eg, number of supplier invoices to enter, number of customer invoicing, number of staff and pay frequency, number of transactions on bank statements and how many accounts to reconcile ie credit card, cheque account, business loan account etc

Frankston Bookkeeping invoices each fortnight, with payment expected to be paid with in 7 days. Payment can be made in cash, cheque or bank transfer all information supplied on invoice.

I specialise in small to medium sized businesses and not for profit organisations. I believe that learning about my clients business is important, for your hard work is what makes my job possible.

I hold a Diploma of Accounting and Certificate IV in both Accounting and Bookkeeping. I work with not for profit organisations and small to medium size businesses. I have worked in the financial industry for more than 20 years. I'm passionate about numbers.
