The service doesn't need a referral unless if medicare needs to be claimed for the service. For treatment through Medicare, referral from general practitioner/ specialist is required.

The Service offers bulk-billing and no-gap services to clients with public and private health insurance.  Client won't have out of pocket expense through our service.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Payment and Insurance  Medicare claims – Public Insurance: Medicare pays partly for physiotherapy treatment. An Enhanced Primary Care plan is required from your treating doctor for physiotherapy treatment. Maximum of five physiotherapy treatments can be claimed for one calendar year.  Payment is required at the time of the physiotherapy consultation, and the receipt of payment can be taken to Medicare office for part re-imbursement. Payment can be made via cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Master card and Bank card.  Private Insurance: Most private health funds can be claimed for the physiotherapy service. Claim can be done electronically at the practice, through HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payment Service)  WorkCover compensation: The workers compensation insurer can be directly billed for the physiotherapy service. Treating doctor’s referral is required.  Motor Vehicle Accidents - CTP claims: To commence physiotherapy treatment, approval from the insurer is required. Once approval is provided with a claim number, bill for services is send to the insurer.   Department of Veteran’s Affair (DVA) Claims: DVA Card holders are entitled for physiotherapy services. Treating doctor’s referral is required to provide physiotherapy services.
