Working at AGL Solar as a finance assistant we had hired a contract bookkeeper for some extra help, after seeing that her skills an knowledge were not as developed as mine and I could see the mistakes she was making I decided that I was a worthy opponent to the contractors out there and I could become the top bookkeeper around.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I accepted this job and when I started I realized the previous bookkeeper hadn't allocated receipt to any invoices, so it took me 1 year to sort through 5 years worth of bank statements and reallocate everything to the invoices. I asked my client do you think your owed much , they responded "no I think everything is up to date" It turns out they were owed $20,000 just from 1 customer alone and there were over 100 customers.

When my client says to me (''Thankyou for everything you have done for us I don't know where I would be without you" )on a consistent basis it makes me happy because I haven't just chosen a line of work that benefits me but it benefits alot of people out there who are in desperate need of help.

I am twice as fast as a contract bookkeeper and 4 times faster than an employee, to get my efficiency I create streamlined accounting systems and procedures which stop errors and allows for a more accurate system so we aren't spending all our time chasing errors and mistakes. I am advanced with the accounting systems so I know all the little details to get the job done quicker.

Due to my process I have put in place I am extremely efficient and it actually turns out to be cheaper than others, I just took over a bookkeeper who was spending 10 hours a week but only charging $25 per hour I am currently spending 3 hours a week and the total cost is the same and I have found a few errors in their systems so these have being fixed and all the procedures improved.
