The Nature Group are licensed Unlimited Builders. This means all work is bound by the minimum of building standards and warranty. For new homes structural warranty and other warranties apply. We also are insured for public liability in the event of something unforeseen, to ensure the best outcomes. The Nature Group ensure all work cover and other insurances are carried for a hassle free build. Things can go wrong through no direct fault or through unforeseen occurrence , so to know The Nature Group and your project are covered is a sure relief. This means responsible practises, insured so that there is no finger  pointing blame delaying your project or costing you further money. Having a contractor who is not insured is a major risk, one you can not afford to risk. This project is usually your biggest asset. One you pay off for half your life.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

The Nature Group was founded to really link every aspect of construction. Too many projects are full of separate contractors dropping the catch phrase "thats not my job" The little pieces between each trade is what truly makes a project successful. The Nature Group ensures this happens. The Nature Group Deal with every aspect of construction. Designing, planning and then constructing a garden, a pool, a home or a complete package is a rewarding job that I love. To see the clients project progress to surpass their requirements and expectations. Watching each projects diversity from the last is truly rewarding and the sense of satisfaction for what we have built is truly great. Seeing a past project in a year, 2 or 5 and seeing the workmanship not only hold up but continue to be outstanding is a great feeling and one that The Nature Group prides itself on.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

The Nature Group believes all customers should ask a simple question. Are you a registered builder? This is required for all jobs over $5000 in any aspect of building and landscaping. A Registered Builder like The Nature Group is required to follow stringent rules, sit through various examinations of skill, character and has to prove to the Building Commission that they should be a builder. This is a long, drawn out process that once you become a builder you do not want to give up. This requires all insurances are up to date and that any complaints about poor workmanship or customer service are taken seriously not just by the registered builder like The Nature Group but by the Building Commission looking out for consumers and ensuring the building industry is effective and well regulated. If the trade your dealing with is talking about not getting required permits, or dealing in a method that saves huge money compared to other quotes, using different materials, or simply is a price without lots of information about what the works include then really listen and think to what your hearing, his workmanship will not improve upon commencement. "What the council doesn't know does hurt them", quickly adapts to "what the client cant see before my cheque clears doesnt matter" and then you find out later that they have cut corners. Corners that will cost you big money and stress. Corners that can be dangerous to your family. Once you have paid these contractors, if you have a problem there is no way of having them return. It is illegal to act as a builder if you are not registered and the penalties are severe. If your contractor disregards this law, why does he care about you and your project. What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The Nature Group generally need to know from a client a few things. These include:  1. Expected commencement. If your project is 6 months away, we can spend lots of time getting the design right, if its 2 weeks away however, then we need to really get started and not allow any time to pass.  2. An approximate budget idea. No point designing something you either can not afford or simply do not see the value in spending. Many clients worry about telling us what their budget is. This is because they worry the price will not be competitive or it will be overpriced. If you head to a car dealer though, you generally know how much you want to spend, and what you expect for this. Having $15000 and asking for the latest mercedes would be embarrassing.  3. Themes and Styles you like. There are literally hundreds of variations of styles and types of homes and gardens. Choose a few magazines from online or at your local newsagents and look at the pictures. Sometimes we like a picture even if we cant put our finger on why we like this. This is where a designer can help put your dreams together. Let us specialise in what we do for you.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

The Nature Group offers a speciality design service for all our builds from swimming pools, to landscape and for all new homes.  The best ways to save money is cut back time, after all time is money.  1. Get as many pictures of what you like as possible. All the talking in the world is not as clear as a simple picture.  2. Work out your budget and be honest about this. I hope we get the work done cheap, is a recipe for disaster.  I cant tell you how many calls i receive where clients have used cheap, backyard trades and need a project fixed. Usually this means starting from scratch. The client has already lost money, dealt with plenty of stress and lost plenty of sleep. Not to mention the costs of removal and disposal of poor workmanship.  3. Communicate well with your partner about what you each want, each need and what your family require.  These are 3 separate things. Often one of the family members we build for is stuck on one idea. This idea they can not afford, as the product is to expensive. They need a BBQ, but have seen an outdoor kitchen with fridges ect. The client can mistake that the outdoor kitchen as what makes there home beautiful, or landscape better, rather they do not see the elements around this product that truly make the project great and here they are trying to cut costs. The end result is not what they imagined and not what they truly need.
