Absolutely!  To classify as a Registered BAS Agent and Certified Bookkeeper you must have current Professional Indemnity Insurance and adhere to a professional code of conduct.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Being married to an Accountant and helping them with work they would bring home, I realised I had a bit of a flare for it.  I began studying Bookkeeping and started my first bookkeeping business in 2005.  Word of mouth rapidly spread and have never looked back.

What do you like most about your job?

Bookkeeping is my passion and although others may find this boring, I love to see a new client's business records transform from a mess into neat and tidy files. I enjoy learning new systems and always keep up to date with the latest and greatest in Accounting software.

I need to know how many months I will be completing the work for, how many transactions we are dealing with and whether the supporting paperwork is available and in ok condition.

1. Ensure all tax invoices/receipts have been gathered prior to collection and are legitimate  2. Have all bank statements printed 3. Be able to provide entity details including ABN, business addresses etc.

Efficiency is the key to keeping my prices at a level where the customer feels extremely satisfied with the job done and the price paid for it.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I usually charge per hour. I am able to assess the work load and give an estimate prior to commencing.  Regular BAS clients can be offered a flat fee for quarterly work.

I specialise in the small to medium sized business market for any industry or profession from subcontractors in the construction industry to the business owner of the local pizza shop or childcare centre.
