Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
I have a decade of experience working as a health practitioner and offer a warm and inviting space in which we can determine the best treatment plan to restore your health
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
I hold a Bachelors degree in Chinese Medicine, Diplomas in Tuina (Chinese Remedial Massage) and Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies. I have extensive post-graduate training and strive to make Oriental medicine easily understandable through my role as a lecturer.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
My specialisation is in Tian Lineage Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine and gentle Nagano Lineage Japanese Acupuncture. Both are palpatory focused styles of practice that provide the treatment your body needs to return to a healthy balance.
How do you normally charge for your service?
Initial sessions are booked for 90 minutes to allow a complete health history and diagnostic intake to be taken, along with creating a treatment plan, acupuncture treatment and prescription of herbs if required. Follow up sessions are scheduled for 45-60 minutes.
What makes your pricing competitive?
My prices include complete individual attention on your health and treatment during your booked session, with a focus on providing the best treatment to match your needs.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Ensure adequate sleep.
Attend to the basics of diet as outlined in my free ebook available from my website.
Engage in practices which counter the busyness of modern life.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
The duration and details of your issue, what makes it better/worse, background health history, secondary health concerns, goals and expectations for treatment.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
When hiring someone to provide acupuncture, the key thing is to find out if they are actually an acupuncturist. This distinction requires years of formal training with supervised clinic experience, as opposed to short weekend courses available to practitioners who choose to study dry needling.
