How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I got into computers when they first started. I taught myself basic programming then database programming and every other aspect of computer hardware and software. I just love it!

There are a couple of things I really like doing for then showing customers to see there reaction. The first is installing and setting up Google Photos on there phone, PC, and tablet so all there photos are backed up and can be seen and shared from any device. Always gets a smile!

How many years experience does the service provider have is an important question. Also ask how long your computer will take to fix if it has to go to a workshop.

Common questions I am asked are: Is Windows 10 OK because a friend or relative had trouble with it? I answer yes it is. It is faster, more secure, and has many great features.

These days we all have so many online accounts. Often when repairing a computer these accounts need to be logged into. A repair job can take twice as long if these passwords are not known. The best idea is to have a small notebook with all your account details and passwords.

What makes your pricing competitive?

My standard service charge for most normal repairs is less than $100. I have not seen a lower advertised price. I dont have extra costs of a premises or staff so I can pass on those savings to my customers.

I generally charge a flat fee for repairs based on my experience of how long the job should take. This way the customer doesn't get any nasty surprises.

I specialise in new PC's for gamers, business or home users. Virus removal. Laptop and PC hardware repairs and maintenance.

I have over 25 years experience in computing. 5 years as IT manager for a medium sized business. 5 years in mobile computer repair. I am also a Microsoft Access database developer.
