After many years of working in the IT departments of government owned corporations, an opportunity arose that allowed us to offer our skills and services to the small business and home markets.  This eventually became Dependable Computer Services.  Using the skills from this background to assist and improve our clients' technology experience is both a challenge and a pleasure.

It is often said that variety is the spice of life.  This is especially true for us as we visit our business and home clients.  The range of issues and concerns that we deal with on a daily basis does keep us on our toes.

Ask how long they have been in business and their clients.  While naming clients is not done, the industries and the type of work carried out should not be a problem.  Having long term business clients indicates a stable business with happy returning clients.

Do I need antivirus software. Yes you do need good reliable antivirus protection.  Preferably not the "Free" versions, which offer very little or No protection at all,

During the course of our business, we service many businesses and organisations where we have potential access to sensitive information. Often we work outside normal business hours and unsupervised.  Our integrity has never been questioned.

What has or is happening and what were you doing prior to the problem/issue starting. We will also require the following. Make and model and serial number. Recovery and/or original software media with relevant activation numbers or codes.

Make sure that they have any relevant usernames and passwords, as well as any driver/recovery discs that came with the computer Provide your Microsoft Office Disk or activation numbers Supply any addition specific software to be installed.

We will evaluate your problem free of charge and advise you of the most cost effective and economical solution, we also do not charge a call out fee. Often we can do an initial diagnosis over the phone

What makes your pricing competitive?

Our pricing is made more competitive by there being no callout fee.  Adhoc support and routine maintenance is charged by the half hour, or part thereof.  Many jobs can be performed at a fixed cost.  New equipment is supplied as required from our suppliers at current competitive prices.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Maintenance and support services are normally charged by the half hour. If the job site requires us to use commercial parking facilities, you will be charged for parking "at cost". Travelling time is charged for job sites outside our 35km range.  Call us for details.

Dependable Computer Services prides itself on being able to work and co-operate with the various software support groups in order to provide our clients with stable, reliable and productive computing platforms and environments. These facilities allow your staff to get to what they need, when they need it.
