  designBpm was amazing. My husband and I have very different ideas when it comes to interior design and couldn't even come close to agreeing on interior colours. Using a colour consultant was not something we had considered before, but decided to give it a shot as we were getting nowhere. We chose designBpm and couldn't be happier. Bridget was really professional but still fun and had some great ideas that we had never considered. She helped us choose three different colours that are perfect throughout our 80 year old home. My husband and I are both thrilled with the results and would absolutely recommend using designBpm. Considering how much painting costs, making sure you get the colours right is incredibly important. • How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  Having worked for many years in catering, I appreciated the efficiency and ergonomics associated with a successful kitchen. Understanding the principles of 'flow' and zones, it was a natural progression to study Kitchen and Bathroom Design.

• What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

  Will my designer spend time discussing my home lifestyle and my wishlist? Will it reflect my personality/style? Will the completed kitchen / bathroom / room be stylish and ergonomic? Will it be custom designed just for me? Will my designer be an HIA and Greensmart member for over 10 years? And will my designer be up to date with the latest, greatest products saving me time and money (and anxiety)? Finally, will my designer have made great contacts with skilled and ethical tradesmen over the past decade, which will see me through the design process to liaising with the Cabinetmaker, and recommending a great HIA Builder / Tiler.
