difficult question depending on the needs, first i will always ask if they are registered with insurance and if they have liability, most important question. Then i will ask if they have the right skill and mind set with equipments to do the job. Just to be safe i will call another trade and compare dollars and how both party s  will tackle the task. Always double check to have a better understanding and another important note is ask if they have terms and conditions.

Example you need a drive way ripped out and the concrete taken away with an excavator so you can extend or redo the drive way, now you need a concreter to finish of the job i can recommend my friendly exper

I charge by the minimum charge of 4hrs with float then hourly rate or daily rate of 8hrs. Quotes can be given on some job sites. Extra cost may apply.

I been working and helping clients for number of years with jobs and projects, my experience and skills come from working around houses for different trades like plumbers, concretes, and builders. Over the years i have developed solid skills and well built understanding with my own trade and working for other trades that need excavation done.
