As Im a BAS Agent it is a mandatory requirement that we have Professional Indemnity insurance and so that then will cover your business.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Well let me see,   I have used my control freakish habits for good instead of evil by way of making sure that you the business owner is capturing all that is necessary number wise so you don't diddle yourself by paying too much tax be it GST or income tax.   And being a woman well if I cant spend my own $$ then I just live vicariously through my clients $$ when I pay there bills or document where it is all going.  And then with the excellent reporting available you the business owner again get to see what is selling and what is not. Where your money is going or where it should go.  Just a few of my many hidden talents

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

One of the most asked questions/statements I hear is: Im really really really over this bookkeeping stuff, I dont know where to begin or where to stop.  Can you help me?  My answer is 98% of the time...... wait for it......YES!!!  The other 2% I just end up buying them a coffee and listening to there woes and suggesting other means... (it does happen)

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

The only reason you should hire my services is if we are a good fit. In other words if I can do the job and more importantly you feel comfortable enough to agree that I can do the job.  This goes for any other potential service provider that you may be looking for.  We can be exceptional at what we do but if its not a good fit then no one wins..

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Typically I like to know how many pages the bank statements consists of.  how many bank accounts and credit cards are in use for data capture how many employees are there and if they are perm/casual or part time what the business is about eg: retail, trade, product seller, consulting, website based etc. If your business is registered for GST and PAYG Withholding oh and also PAYG installments.  Oh and most importantly how do they like there coffee, incase I need to get them one on my way to there establishment :) (true story!)

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1) have your bank statements handy 2) have a copy of any templates such as your invoice template handy 3) paperwork is the real killer when it comes to time consumption so its highly recommended that you have all your paperwork in date order or aphpabetical order at least and then it will be far easier to work on

What makes your pricing competitive?

Perhaps it doesn't on the surface. Until you see what we are capable of then you will know.  Quantity definately does not equal quality when it comes to doing your books.  There has to be accuracy, wisdom from years of being in the industry, up keep of continued education just to name a few must haves.    So to keep your business legal in the eyes of the ATO without feeling like you are just in business for them (ATO) then you will need a skilled professional to not just keep you legal but have your back so in the end you are not overpaying bills, GST, PAYG Withholding etc.  So its your choice, but you already new that. :)

How do you normally charge for your service?

Once we assess your needs I will offer you a packaged fee structure. So that way you will know your cash flow as the fee will stay the same unless your business grows and then we revisit to see what other areas need capturing.  These  packages can start at $65 per week!
