What do you like most about your job?

Working with dogs that have behavioural / training needs is my vocation.  It is such a great reward seeing them learning new skills, improving their behaviour and developing a deeper bond between dog and owner.

WHY DO DOGS MISBEHAVE?  In general, the main contributing factor is lack of leadership.  Without clearly defined guidelines, the dog will make up its own set of rules to cope in any given situation, leading to inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour.  At Dogology®, we teach you how to communicate with your dog using respect, encouragement, praise and affection.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

A scientifically designed profile form will be sent to each customer upon their initial enquiry.  This enables me to analyse the dogs behaviour and training needs, as well as the relationship the dog and owner have.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Prices for all programs is inclusive of the whole program, from 4 to 6 sessions depending on the program, and covers the handbook and training treats, plus telephone or email support for the duration of the program.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I offer a variety of structured dog training programs, and each one is priced accordingly.  I can also customise a program. Completed paperwork and deposit is required to secure the first appointment.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Whilst Janene is competent in training any dog of any age or breed, she has a special affinity for the Working Dog breeds, such as the Australian Cattle Dog, the Australian Stumpy Tail  Cattle Dog, the Australian Kelpie, Border Collies, German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, etc. Janene also specialises in Reactive Dog Management and Training, and finds this the most rewarding for herself and of course, the client's dog!
