  My partner and I adopted a rescued German Shepherd. Due to his history of abuse and neglect he was quite an anxious dog. He panicked around new people, would chew our door and broke a window. He escaped 3 times. Since working with Karen our boy is off his anxiety meds and has calmed down so much! She taught us an effective way to calm our dog (this also assisted with training) and her constant support has been invaluable. I highly recommend Karen to owners of anxious dogs.

  I just want to do a huge thank you to Karen who has helped us immensely over the last couple of weeks with our babies, mainly Charlie. We have different dogs! Still a way to go but oh my, we have learned so much. Anyone having issues, I cannot recommend enough seeing Karen.

  High quality training, effective methods, she always had solutions for your dog problems including potty training, walking on a leash, crate training and so on, it worked fantastic, our dog is 4months old only, we have trained him to be fairly calm and stable as a puppy by following Karen’s instructions

  I think it's making really lovely connections with dogs and their owners.... and seeing new hope in people's faces when they see that their dog's behaviour can change for the better!

• What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

  Q. Can you fix my dog's separation anxiety? A. Yes, once you understand where separation anxiety comes from, it can be easily fixed. Q. Do you use any painful techniques - such as prong or shock collars? A. Definitely not. We help dogs by helping them to stay calm. Devices like these do the opposite, so I don't use them. Q. Can you get my dog to stop destroying things? A. Yes! Destruction is often a symptom of anxiety. When we relieve your dog's anxiety then the destruction stops. Q. My dog has bitten people. Can he be helped? A. Absolutely. Dog bites usually come from some sort of fear - e.g. fear for its safety, or its owner's safety. When we show your dog that it's the human's job to keep everyone safe, then he'll relax and not feel the need to be the protector. Q. Can we teach our dog to be nice to our cat? A. Yes! Just as we teach our children to play nicely, we can also teach our dogs what kind of behaviour is OK and what's not OK.
