Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We are insured by AAMI insurance. If you are at all not satisfied by our work we request you tell us before you leave the premises so we may fix any issues. Any health risks regarding grooming are in our policy statement (on the wall) and will be discussed if matting or any issues are present.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

One of our groomers broke her nose and the other groomer had to do the last of the Christmas rush alone. A customer who saw how frazzled the groomer was brought her a coke and some chocolate because she skipped lunch to get everyone done on time. That client made the groomers day.

What do you like most about your job?

The pets personalities are the best part. Getting to know the pets and their silly quirks makes it all worth it. We treat your pet like our family and we really like to get to know them.

The groomers reputation and work should be enough to tell you about them. If clients rave about them, their work looks decent and you feel comfortable around them then you have found the right person.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Many clients ask us how long the grooms will take.  Providing we have no fell behind due to a matted or aggressive pet the average groom time is roughly 2 hours for small pets (as they need more breaks) an hour and a half for small dogs, 2-3 for larger dogs and an hour and a half for cats.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We pride ourselves on our “family” feel within our store. We like to get to know our clients and we fall in love with all the pets that enter our store. We try to be approachable. We do not rush our clients out the door as we prefer to create a relaxed, welcome environment for all.

We offer top quality service for all our pets. Each groom is tailored to suit both the pet and the client and given as much time as the pet requires. Both of our experienced groomers are qualified in grooming services, animal behaviours and pet first aid.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

What type of pet you have? What breed do you have?  Is your pet on a regular grooming schedule, if so how often? How long since your last groom?  Does your dog have behavioural issues, disabilities or is it old?  It can be difficult to give an exact idea until we see your pet.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Get your pet groomed regularly to maintain the coat condition and good behaviour.  Brush your pet daily to avoid matting.  Flea and worm your pet regularly.  When you see your pet at the end of their groom, make a huge fuss over them. This teaches your pet grooming is a good thing.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We do not compete with other groomers within our industry. Rather we charge what we are worth and the industry standard.  We do however offer seniors discount, packages and regularly run competitions and promos to help clients financially.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Prices all vary with time, size, behaviour, groom type and coat condition.  Small pet prices start at $55 Dog prices start at $71.50 (full groom estimate) Cats start at $110 (full groom estimate)  However we do offer services such as nails (starting at $5.5) and nail caps (for cats only)

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Both groomers specialise in many types of grooming techniques with dogs such as asian fusion, breed, salon freestyle and comfort clips. Chloe is highly skilled in cat grooming and small pets. Both groomers have training in behavioural issues, puppies and disabled/elderly pets.
