How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
1 - Existing Plans. Note: don't acquire these from the council as they will sometimes not exist or if they do exist they will most likely be wrong.
It would be more accurate and cheaper to re-measure the building.
2 - Create a sketch (as accurate as possible) of your project.
3- Have a budget.

1 - Budget.

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
As a Building Designer in Queensland, we are required by law to carry Public Liability Insurance.

Q - Do I need plans drawn first.
A - Yes. most times the Builder is the first person a client will contact. The Builder will ask whether you have plans.

A - Can only provide an estimate over the phone. More detailed information will be required for a quote.

1 - Are you Licensed to be doing this work? Only Licensed Building Designers, Architects and Builders can lawfully have plans submit for Building Approval.

Meeting people from all walks of life and being able to help find solutions to what may be a difficult project or just provide an honest service at a reasonable price.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I have had many dealings with clients over the years and with the help of other professionals we have been able to acquire approvals for properties that would otherwise seem out of reach but the main story would be that clients either use our services again and/or recommend us to friends.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
At 24 I did an apprenticeship in Carpentry and from there I had a passion for design and the use of CAD software followed by full-time study. I didn't aim to have a business, just loved what I was doing.
