  Highly recommended! We engaged Emma to do tile, paint, lighting and fixtures and fittings selections for the renovation of our 1875 heritage stone cottage. Emma met us onsite, interpreted our brief and vision quickly and completed the service promptly. She also designed 3 layout options for a very small bathroom makeover we were struggling with. Emma was a pleasure to work with and I would be very happy to use her services again in the future.

  We couldn’t be more delighted with choosing Emma Miles of Duck Duck Design to work with us on our furniture and textile selections for our new Apartment in Kingston. Emma worked closely with us to understand what we wanted to achieve - a sense of beauty and elegance but with a strong real life functionality. What has been achieved is a layered sense of history, taking some pieces that couldn’t be parted with from our family home, to a new downsized way of living. A way of living that is fresh, functional, naturally elegant with a tiny tweek of edge! Thank you Emma – we just love the result.

  Emma is a wonderful designer and has some fantastic ideas. We recently engaged her to design our bathroom in Canberra that hasn’t been touched in 40 years. Some great modern ideas in what is a difficult space. Emma chose the fittings and tiles as well to our satisfaction I would recommend Emma and her talents to anyone considering an interior designer

• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  I was a scientist for many years and did art on the side to fulfil my creativity. Interior design has always been an interest for me and it fulfils both my scientific and artistic sides.

• Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

  I have a customer that was wishing she met me before she downsized so that I could help her select more furniture for her. She was so lovely and used to label her emails 'downsizing dilemma'
